PUBLIC TRANSIT
The LGBT center is steps away from the F Market historic streetcar line, which runs up and down Market Street. The 22 Fillmore bus (stops at Market and Church) will take you from the gritty Mission to tony Marina district-a great way to see everything that makes San Francisco the unique place it is. Also at Church & Market is the MUNI underground line, a quick way to get around the city and connect to many bus lines. BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) is an underground service leading in and out of San Francisco. The closest station is Civic Center (8th and Market). Be careful walking alone after dark. For further info. call their hotlines: MUNI , BART ) or refer to their websites (www.sfmuni.com, www.bart.gov). For elevator status reports, call (MUNI) or 888-2-ELEVAT (BART).
